Monday 17 September – a full house full of blether after the summer break.
Guid Blethers has enjoyed a summer break and has begun its 2018 – 2019 programme. It meets again on the first and the third Monday of each month until June 2019. Len, Margaret and Audrey will be providing a variety of topics, supported by photographs, the computer and guid blether. If you know of anyone who might enjoy joining the group, let them know and bring them along. And if there is any topic you would like to blether about, please let us know. We look forward to seeing old faces and new faces. Everyone welcome.
The programme is below:
17 September: Looking forward to Newhaven
1 October: This ‘N’ That
15 October: NO MEETING as group on outing to Loch Fyne in Newhaven
5 November: Reflections on Newhaven
19 November: Imagine Being There
3 December: Old Edinburgh Shops
17 December: Christmas Party
We chat, blether and enjoy each other’s company. What do we blether about? It’s not the weather or our latest ailments, but all sort of subjects from games we used to play to the trams. We all have various opinions and ideas and this leads to lively discussion, and sometimes goes off to something completely different. We bring exciting and varied topics and ideas to our sessions, using computer and projector to illustrate our topics. Guid Blethers offers an opportunity to make new friends, share interests and stories, exchange ideas and views. It may be you feel isolated or lonely and want company. Being in a group, getting involved and participating, can give a sense of value, belonging and well-being. We also have fun and tea and cake!
